Maybe they're afraid of "Open mouth, insert foot, echo
internationally."
That's never stopped anyone before! Perhaps they are all afraid of being caught in Sarah Palin's crosshairs. :=]
Hello all!
Here it is, a few minutes before Easter, the two major dog sled races are over, Yukon has had a slam dunk gorgeous winter, and the NWT pipe line
may never be built. There are lots of northern topics other than these to discuss and all we get is silence!
What goes?
I like her.
I like her.
Sarah is one of the reasons Duffy and I don't discuss politics with you.
However, I do get a smile from the comment I heard recently that Ms.
Palin had to come to Whitehorse to have her foot removed from her mouth because it would have cost her too much to have the procedure carried out in Anchorage.
I read it is based on fact.
When she was a child, her parents would take their children, on the
train, to Whitehorse for serious medical conditions.
It was often impossible in winter, to get to Anchorage, hence the
train to Whitehorse.
I do, however, believe there were charges that a Canadian would not
have to pay.
According to the Canadians I exchange mail with regularly, they
like their health care system. We in the Excited States don't know
what that's like, with the exception that many moons ago, there
were charity hospitals all over the place giving free, qwality
health care here in the south.
