It works here with or without the "www".

Which is what it should do.

Incidentally, the dmushers are running at a record pace. They are expected in Whitehorse this (Monday) evening and that will cut days off the race record.

    Take care,

    That's some record!

Incidentally, I didn't see a typo in your original yukonquest address, but I don't archive this echo. Maybe you still have it and can let Theodore know if he's right. (-:[

    Hello All!

This is a reminder that the Yukon Quest started in Fairbanks, Alaska at 11:00 on February 6. So far the mushers are running at a record pace; Lance Mackey is in the top four but rather than giving updates which I would have to get from the Web, I would invite you to go to http://www.yhukonquest.com. This year's Quest website is very accessible and even allows you to track many of the teams by GPS.

    Enjoy!

You listed http://www.yhukonquest.com. (with an extra "h" in your
original email. I just get a "can't find the server at www.yhukonquest.com" error message.

You're right. I looked at my original post and saw the superfluous 'h". But drop it and it will work although it may not matter any longer as Hans Gatt, Lancew Mackey and Hugh Neff smashed the old rercord when they finished this afternoon.

You can see some pictures of the Quest finish on my Facebook site.

We see what we want to see. Theodore is more meticulous. :-)

Incidentally, I had coffee with Duffy last week after bumping into him at a local DVD/CD store. He is in very good form and we had a delightful conversation.

In my defense, I have one good eye and one not-so-good eye, which throws off the good eye. "Eye" can see good at night, as long as I'm looking up at the stars and planets and not behind the wheel of a car.

If you talk to him again within the next week or so, please tell him he has a long email coming his way. I thought I had written to him, but the machine I was on at the time had both fans in the power supply go bad. I did replace it and now I have to find out whether I'm one up on him or the other way around. With Duffy, it really doesn't matter because there were times last year when we
wrote each other 2-3 times a day. Duffy has a life, whereas mine is now weighted down with unexpected responsibilities. There's an old British saying that covers the previous sentence:

"There's always the unexpected, isn't there?"
