How do I set mbse to show what passwords are coming in and what my
system is expecting as I have a couple of connects per minute that
fail and I cannot see what they are presenting and yes I have many
debug flags turned on for the mailer but clearly not the correct one

If MD5 is enabled for BinkP, the cleartext password is never sent, so
MBSE cannot log it.
