    Sorry for the off-topic post. When I originally wrote it, I wasn't even paying attention to the echo I was posting in. I tend to reply to Shawn in quite a few
    echos over a few networks even, so I just went with it. After reading his reply
    today, I relized this wasn't an appropriate place for our conversation.

    .. and about to reply to you regarding it, saved me the effort :)

    Mbse is a native Linux product as against one that has to work acrosss multi platforms but it does work on any platform and at least one sysop has it running under IBM os/390 - *nix mode.

    I can but still have not found a reason to do so apart from increased security but that's more to do with the http and ftp server services that are tied to it.
