    Bergamot

    A American herb once widely used by Native Americans, bergamot was introduced to the early colonists by the Oswego. During the Boston Tea Party era, Oswego tea was a common substitute for the taxed tea of the day. Bergamot is also a known bee attractant. The flowers smell of oranges and are dark pink, red,
    and purple. They are also a known bee attractant.
