Cumin is the ground seeds of the cumin plant. Traditionally cumin was used to fight the common cold by adding ti to hot milk. Toasted cumin seeds are
boiled for tea to be used for stomachaches. Animal studies show cumin seeds
may reduce the risk of liver cancer. Because cumin is rather bitter, add it
to your food (meat, beans, rice, potatoes are traditional foods it is used
for) at the start and lit it cook in.
